Tail light wiring

Postby Kango on Sat Aug 01, 2009 8:19 am

Thying my best to add lightness.

Does anybody have a wiring diagram to wire up the tail lights so it works like the american cars. One bulb that does brakes and indicator. So if You brake and have the indicator on, the stop light flashes? :?:

 Bad idea perhaps all the wires will be henier than an extra bulp. :?

Won't have time this weekend, but remind me during the week and I'll try and see if I can do a diagram. Not a bad idea really, just need to clear it with the local traffic plod :)

Won't comply with the local traffic regs, do the roadworthy first then change the wiring

The problem is avoiding both brake light flashing when you use the indicators. Because you use a single brake switch you will reverse feed the other brake light when using the indicators. A way I've gotten around this in the past is use a relay - not very elegant but it works. I'm sure Andre will come up with a much simpler solution!
