Good Evenijg All

Anybody know where I can get hold of the nylon saddle that fit netween the gearlever and selector shaft on a Ford type 2 gearbox? Importing not an option as shippingof this single small item is prohibitive....

Your best option locally is Ford themselves, if they haven't got them then you're not likely to get one anywhere else. Is it by any chance the same as the one used in the type 9 box?

I just had a look in the Burton power website, looks to me like a type 9 may work if you cut off the little extra piece that sits on the side of the saddle. I see you're in Centurion, I have a couple of old type 9 saddles, you're welcome to try one of those to see if it can work. If it does then Lazarus Ford did have stock of the type 9 saddle a while back.

Good evening Ross

Thanks for the saddle Ross. I cut the two skirts at the ends off and it fits perfectly.

Best

Hi Jim,
Glad it worked, now we know should anyone else need one.
